Regional Resources

This section provides valuable tools and resources to help adult education programs build and strengthen partnerships with workforce development and community organizations. From collaboration strategies to marketing and recruitment guides, these resources support effective coordination with WIOA partners and other stakeholders to enhance student success.

  • Building a Collaborative Report on Workforce Development Planning
    This document provides ideas for creating a collaborative report that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative data. Using both types of data can help illustrate program impact, highlight success stories, and strengthen partnerships with WIOA stakeholders.
  • PA Sector Focused List
    This document provides a listing of the industry sectors that are the focus of Pennsylvania’s workforce development areas’ local plans. The sectors are identified from each local plan exactly as they were named. Programs can use this resource to link to the local plans and support ongoing planning with workforce development partners.
  • Partnership List (PDF)
    A sampling of potential community, workforce, and educational partners for collaborating to enhance career pathways and opportunities for adult learners.
  • Partnership Inventory (PDF) and Partnership Inventory (Word)
    A tool for evaluating and strengthening existing partnerships to improve service coordination and student outcomes.
  • Coordinating Marketing, Recruitment, and Intake (Word)
    A guide outlining promising practices for promoting adult education programs, engaging potential students, and streamlining the intake process.

Local Labor Market Data

This data can be used by teachers, case managers, students, and administrators to identify the types of jobs that are available in their communities, and the level of education and training needed. These resources were developed by the PA Department of Labor and Industry.

  • Center for Workforce Information and Analysis (CWIA)
    CWIA provides reliable local and state workforce and economic data to support informed decisions that strengthen Pennsylvania’s economy.
  • County Profiles
    County Profiles are a compilation of selected economic, geographic, and demographic data for Pennsylvania’s 67 counties.
  • PA Monthly WorkStats
    This dashboard lets users select a county to view annual labor force participation rates by age group, comparing county data to state averages.
  • County Population and Labor Force Statistics
